Ever seen yummy-looking pictures of food, pastries and desserts that manage to make these food items look even more mouth-watering than they already are?

Join commercial food photographer, Mr Bene Tan to learn how to make natural light work for you and take some drool-inducing photographs of your own!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Photographers who have some basic photography knowledge and wish to learn more about food photography using natural lighting.

REQUIREMENT

  • Compact Digital, DSLR or SLR film camera that has Manual control mode or Aperture priority mode.
  • Basic knowledge of Photography.
  • Good working knowledge of your camera.
  • Please bring along 50mm / 60mm f2.8 Macro Lens if you have one.

OUTLINE

The necessities

  • Understanding your camera (about resolution, photo quality, white balance and file format)
  • Understanding about lens (types of lenses to use)

Aperture & Speed for Food Photography

  • Aperture and Shutter Speed to use
  • Composition

Types of Lighting for Food Photography

  • Making natural light work for you
  • How to control the exposure
  • Types of Metering & ISO to use
  • Colour Temperature
  • Lighting tools (low budget)

Workshop includes theory and practical session, notes provided. Participants will receive certificate of attendance at the end of workshop.

Fee: SG$125 per pax.
Minimum 5 pax in order to start workshop.
